The boys are around... Italy

Genova - The first stage of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour began at 2.30 pm this afternoon: the ten Beneteau Figaro 3s of SSI Events set off in very light winds en route to La Maddalena. 190 miles away, according to the most recent bulletins and looking at the polar poles of the fleet, the iconic Sardinian island will be reached at the first light of dawn on Tuesday, as explained by the PRO of the event, Valentina Bravi, assisted during the departure procedures by Enrico Pilla, president of the Race Committee.

Although proceeding slowly, the departure was anything but relaxed: at least five crews showed up on the line with perfect timing and after just a few minutes we witnessed the lengthening of the fleet, led towards the south-west from the City of Genoa (Arianna Riconti-Francesco Farci), among the first to explain Code Zero, and by Acone Associati (Marco Augelli-Francisco Gonzalez Sanchez). The start of the Guardia di Finanza-Fiamme Gialle (Francesco Marrai-Romolo Emiliani), City of Taranto (Carlo Campetella-Matteo Marzotto) and the Air Force (Giovanni Bannetta-Giancarlo Simeoli), shot near the pin, was also good.

The fleet of this edition is completed by the teams of Marina Militare (Vincenzo Vano-Ignazio Bonanno), Carta Giovani (Max Quester-Giulia Farnetani), Dr (Cam Hook-James Bassom), DEAS Sanfer (Orlando Reginato-Federico Gandini) and the Sardinia Region (Chiara Saglietti-Alessandro Boschetti).

With this departure, the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour said goodbye to Genoa, where particularly intense days were experienced, culminating yesterday in the departure of the Amerigo Vespucci for her second round the world "escorted" during the first miles by the fleet of ten Beneteau Figaros 3 and greeted by the Frecce Tricolore.

During its stay in the Ligurian capital, the event, organized by Difesa Servizi S.p.A. and SSI Events in collaboration with the Marina Militare, found the support of the FIV Zone I, chaired by Maurizio Buscemi, the Club Nautico Mandraccio and the Lega Navale Italiana Genova Sestri Ponente.
