Milan - Finished just under a month ago, the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2023 hit the mark, registering a significant presence of the public in all the locations, a massive presence in newspapers, televisions and important social media numbers, as indicated by the million and a half views and the over one hundred thousand iterations collected from more than three hundred stories and posts. Strengthened by this success, the organizers - Marina Militare, Difesa Servizi S.p.A. e SSI Events - are now looking to the next seasonal events which, although shorter in duration, promise to be equally rich in competitive content and interesting sporting stories to tell.
Between now and the end of the year there is still a world title to be awarded, a continental one and to discover the name of the winner of the third edition of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Veloce which, scheduled between 5 and 19 November, in a period of the year characterized from a few hours of light and decreasing temperatures - it is the longest non-stop offshore regatta in the Mediterranean (1,492 miles: Venice-Genoa with Sicily to be left to the right).
But before the Veloce it will be time for the EUROSAF Double Female Offshore European Championship. Expected between 26 September and 1 October, the championship will involve ten double crews made up only of women over two stages which, starting from Venice, will take the Beneteau Figaro 3 fleet first to Montenegro, then to Taranto, with a classification that will reward the best on the basis of overall times. This will be the second European title awarded in 2023 by the events organized by Marina Militare, Difesa Servizi S.p.A. and SSI Events: last July the EUROSAF Double Mixed Offshore European Championship ended in Genoa, won by the Caracci-Fazzana couple. Among the sure protagonists of this event, which was sold out as proof of the great interest of pink sailing towards this type of event, there will be the Quadriga Sailing Team represented by the strong German Melanie Aalburg and the Hungarian Viktoria Galla and the crew of the French Marion Engelhard, who will race with the Dutch Marjoleine Hulshof. Then pay attention to the duo made up of the fresh winner of the European Mixed Doubles Championship Roberta Fazzana and Alessandra Boatto; and then again the couple made up of the British Connie Stevens and the Irish Roisin O'Happelloran; Also at the start is Giulia Farnetani, already protagonist of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour with Carta Giovani, who will be on the boat with Alicia Molly Biggs. Also interesting are the couples composed of Helena Schneider and Florencia Lazzari, Ellie Driver and Catherine Hunt, Rosie Hill and Liberty Askew and Sophie von Waldow who will be paired with Charlotte Schneider.
After just a few days it will be the turn of the World Sailing, Double Mixed Offshore World Championship, a world championship officially recognized by World Sailing to be held along a route which, starting from Taranto, will see the mixed double crews return after about three days of navigation between the Aegean islands. For the Apulian city it will be the second seasonal meeting with the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour fleet: already last July, in fact, the Giro dell'Italia a Vela had visited Taranto, gathering an indisputable success with the public and thrilling with the departure at vault of Vieste given from inside the port.

In fact, there are numerous requests for participation: the success of the Sailing Tour of Italy tells how much our events can achieve in terms of communication and visibility for partners and protagonists - explains Riccardo Simoneschi, leader of SSI Events - With the next two calendar events we will be back abroad for the second time in a few weeks, touching, after Slovenia, Montenegro, and we will visit Taranto again, where we are working with the municipal administration on a rich program of events and where we are sure be welcomed in a big way, just like last July".
